Another service which Aspis can offer if the installation of data cabling. We can install a complete new network into a new building or we can add to your existing setup.
 | Most companies again overlook the idea of having their network installed by a cabling engineer and instead have it done by their electrician. This is fine if you are not looking to make any changes or alterations to the setup but what if you do? With power cables you can simply spur off of an existing socket to create a new one, you unfortunately don't have this luxury when adding a new network point. |
If the network point will be running a phone or a computer then it will need running all the way back to the patch panel in the data cabinet. This is alot easier said than done when you have found that the original electrician who installed your cabling has chased them into the wall stopping you from simply adding a new cable. For this reason it is always advised that you have the data cables installed in a way which allows for future upgrade and there is no one better to do this than a data cabling engineer.
Aspis Services can install you data cabling for you in a manor which will allow for future upgrades and ease of movement if the office if it were to be rearranged. This can be done with the use of surface mounted trunking on the wall at either floor or waist height or floor boxes containing the data and power for the computers. The trunking and data cables will be installed in a way which will allow for an electrician to come in afterwards and wire in the plug sockets.
The cabling will all be brought back to a main data cabinet containing the patch panels, switches, router/s, server/s and telephone system. It is done this way to allow for easy movement of telephone extensions and the ability to only have live the networks points that you need but the ability to quickly and easily turn them live when needed. Having everything in one place also gives the ability to control the environment your computer equipment is kept in alot more easily. This has benefits when it comes to support as a server kept in a dry cool area off of the floor will long outlive one kept in a warm, damp corner of the office.

Microsoft has announced that their new version of windows server, Windows Server 2008, will be the last release that supports a 32bit architecture. However the new Small Business Server 2008 will only support a 64bit architecture, this is due to the extra load placed on the system by core roles.

HP Ireland is running on almost 90 percent wind power. Switching to renewable energy sources like wind power makes both environmental and business sense. HP Ireland will save the release of more than 40,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide this year, the equivalent to taking 9,600 cars off the road.
